The Provincial Grand Master’s special representative covering the northern end of the province is Stuart Brackstone.
Chris Butterfield, Stuart Brackstone, Steve Murray and David Grainger
In the craft Stuart is a joining member of Dalton in Furness Lodge No 6828 and when a hiatus arose in the succession planning of the lodge he agreed to take up the reins to fill the vacancy which had arisen for a master for the coming year.

Amongst the Brethren who packed into Dalton in Furness Masonic Hall to witness proceedings were a good number of Mark Master Masons who had come along to support Stuart.
Members of our friendly degree; Stuart Brackstone, Brian Davey, Ray Dickinson,
Mike Southworth, Rod Bennison, David Robinson, Stuart Cowburn and Peter Hampson

It was a delightful ceremony conducted by outgoing W.M. Steve Murray. A past master of Vale Lodge No 5256 in the Lancaster group Stuart was obviously delighted to become the head of a lodge in the Furness and South Lakeland group.

The principal guest on the evening was Chris Butterfield who is well known to Stuart as their paths regularly cross at the meetings of various orders. Also present was lodge member and Asst. PrGM David Grainger.
Barry Fitzgerald, Stuart Brackstone and David Smith
Also in attendance were David Smith and Barry Fitzgerald who are, respectively, the masters of Jubilee Mark Lodge No 375 and Furness Mark Lodge No 36.

Following the ceremonial part of the day the brethren made their way to the Fairfield at Barrow in Furness Masonic Hall where 104 members and their guests helped Stuart celebrate his ascension into the chair.
